Average nail technician pay?

Hi everyone! Happy new year.

I work in a Beauty Salon in Somerset as the head nail technician. Ive been doing nails for nearly 8 years. Ive worked in the salon for 2 years and have built up a great reputaion in the area and am fully booked 46 hours a week. But as I worked in New Zealand before I am unsure of what nail technicians should earn here?? What would be an average hourly rate that I should be on?

Why not go it alone ... you'd make so much more money!!!

It doesn't make sense to work for someone (IMO) when you are a nail tech, especially if you are good at what you do.
