Baby nails

As a nail technician I'm always looking at my babys nails lol
I have noticed that on all 10 nails she has this ridge halfway down them that goes horizontally across the nail, hopefully youl be able to see it in pic. She is 9 weeks old. Just wondering if any1 knows if they go through some sort of change that would affect the nails like this? I'm not worried about it because the newer nail looks fine. Just curious x

I don't know anything about babies, but could it be where the nail has grown out of the womb and the other bit is from in the womb?

I think it is as your baby has grown...they are the womb nails....and the nails have grown they will be fine....I am sure of it xx

I didn't realise They had a different type of nail grow after being born. Interesting! x would make sense though as their newborn nails are really soft.x
