Hi geeks, really hope someone out there can help me. I had a bit of an identity crisis recently and had all my hair chopped off and dyed from baby blonde to a very dark brown, almost black!! I love the cut but the colour totally washes me out. I want to go back to blonde but i know this is going to be very difficult. I just wondered what the best way to go about it is? Should I see a colour specialist straight away or is there a professional colour stripper i should use first?

Thanks in advance guys xx

Hi,
see a colour specialist straight away

First and I only give this advice from experience, many experiences.
Never have your hair cut or do an extreme color until you get the input from a true friend. Do not ever go for a change unless much thought has been given.
Now, in order to "keep" your hair, see a professional. One that is knowledgeable on color correction.

use a clarifying shampoo in the mean time this will help to soften the colour down, then you need to go and get professional advise,

the fact ur'l have underlying chemically treated hair is a very big consideration, maybe in the the mean time think if adding a glow to it would help against your skin tone? hth's :)

Thanks for your replies everyone. I did think about it long and hard before I did it and even had a consultation with the hairdresser to see whether the colour would suit me. It does look nice when I have loads of make up on for a night out but for work, it and day to day, the colour just makes me look a bit pale! Sorry to sound a bit dense, but what's a glow? XX

change of tone to suit your skin so it has a shine in the light say a rich brunette glow ,or purple or dark red , or gold or copper! It wont actually change the darkness of your hair ,just make it a bit different , but again proff job as the colour you have underneath may grab certain tones .

its best to be realistic you may not get back to the colour blonde you want for maybe 6 months to a year ( possibly longer depending on length) could you live with something inbetween?

Ooh, I like the idea of copper or gold! Thanks so much for your reply. I don't mind it being done gradually, would love to be blonde again for the summer though! XX

Also, can anyone reccommend a clarifying shampoo? Could I get one from sally's? XX

go to a colour correction specialist it might take a while untill your a nice blonde again the thing is when going dark you got to be over 100% sure as its a long hard process to get it back to blonde
