Hi at college we do waxing but do not cover back and chest waxing, please can anyone advise if it is done differently?

Differently to what?
Some people say that hair is hair but I disagree. Waxing a man is totally different to waxing a woman. The skin, the hair, the contours of the body.

Thankyou for your reply, I meant different to say legs? Yes I know the area is larger and mens hair is usually coarser hence why I have bought the mens version of warm wax for this. I would welcome any tips

Backs and chests have a tendency to break out in spots so ask your client to bring a clean top to change into after, to avoid irritation.
I tend to do them in sections.
Do a line of wax down the middle of the back and the base of the back and then you should just have the 2 side sections to do.
The shoulders go in a different direction so i do that last.
So -line down the middle, line across the base, 2 side sectons and then shoulders.
Do the same with the chest.
Some men aren't particularly hairy so you may not need to section.
Explain to your client that these areas are prone to break out in spots. Get them to wash with anti-bacterial soap and advise them to exfoliate 2 to 3 times a week.
Great opportunity to sell them some after-wax products if you have any.

I just use my normal stripwax for legs. The non-strip is useful for toes (and tops of feet) since I find that hair here can grow in different directions - do feel free to try with strip wax first though - if it works it is much quicker!
