Becoming a hair sales rep?

Hello, Im thinking of taking my hairdressing career into a bit of a different direction and have been thinking of becoming a hair and beauty sales rep, I was just wondering if anyone on here have done this before and if so what advice could you give to get started on this?

Maybe approach a few companies that have stock in salons? I would love this job! But my salon is too busy.
