HiAll..

I start my make-up course in April yippee, but im wondering what is the best make up range to use?

thanks x

I use Patricia Milton Cosmetics in my salon. Absolutely gorgeous makeup range. They are an Italian company but not very well know in UK yet, which is good for me cos it means there not all over ebay and internet, so once my clients are hooked they come back to me to buy! And beleive me, clients LOVE it! xx:lol:

Hi Violet Star!

I am really pleased with my Barbara Bort Make up range, Italian amazing quality and coverage and amazing choice of colours plus there's no minimum order. I think basic packages start at £250.00 but Sophie (director of Sparkle Cosmetics) is really flexible and advised me on best selling products and colours. I started off with basic package and bits to retail so I've been able to add to the range.

check out the website www.barbarabort.co.uk
Sparkle also offer free posters, brochures, postcards, bags which look fab in the salon.

Good luck !

M :)

I use artdeco and find them fantastic:)

It depends really if you want to be a stockist and have the whole range available to purchase or if you are only going to be doing make up now and again and just need it for the application.

Most professionals that purely specialise in make up tend to have a kit full of products from Barry M to Mac and salons will just have the one range.

I stock Jane Iredale but am currently scaling it down as due to maternity leave I will pretty much miss the entire wedding season and since the credit crunch the retail has not done very well at all.

Im 100% fan of mineral make up which is why I choose JI. It is a very comprehensive range right from the foundations, eyeshadows etc to the concealers, brushes, highlighters etc the start up is about £500 plus the training but I would say you'd need to spend at least a £1000 to get everything you need (not including retail)

There are so many in the market and new arrivals all the time....
I was in Professional Beauty and tried there the first time an Australian mineral makeup range called Inika. They are amazing, completely natural and vegan approved if you are interested on that aspect.

Thanks for all your help guys

I have decided to have a little mixture of channel, Dior, MAC and bobbi brown xx

My kit contains all sorts barry m mac bobbi brown dior chanel screen face cosmetics a la carte the list goes on. Remember most professional makeup companys offer discounts for makeup artists and students. x
