hi just wanting to know your opinions on what you think would be good to start as a beginner and what system clients ask for.

good advice, it really does come down to your own research of your area
 
Its known that gels are easier to learn but these are not as strong as L&P. Where as L&P is harder to learn but i think more ladies like L&P better

I've just come across this thread and I have to say that what you've said there is a common misconception.

A technician who is competent with L+P can/will have as many issues when learning gel as a technician who is competent with gel can/will have when learning to use L+P.

The brush techniques are completely different with the two products, the way the products behave are completely different too.
There are some UV Gels available which are made with the same technology behind them as L+P, Creative's Brisa being one of them, therefore giving you the choice of using either product but achieving the same results re strength etc.

Not all UV gels are the same, neither are all L+P systems.
