Hi, Ive been on Bio course but havent done assesment yet so doing nno at reduced cost for some practice, ive had a request for french nno on toes how difficult is it to do and how would you position the client to do that, also can i use bio over a tip for extension if so what layers do i need and is prep the same, any help would be appreciated. thanks

Well when I am doing Brisa Gel toes (or any toes or pedicures) I position the foot on a towel on my knee. Lamp is obviously on the floor for the client to easily slide her foot into without smudging. Lower your chair so that it is comfortable for the client.

PREP will be the same but with toes there are a few different things to consider.

1. There is more cuticle build up on toenails so be vigilant in removing all of it.

2. When manicuring toes, be very careful around the soft tissue with your sanitized implements.
The skin surrounding the toenails is much more easily damaged than the skin surrounding the fingernails.

bios on the toes are so much easier then on fingers.
get them to sit on a beauty couch as it's flat and they can chill and read a magazine etc... place the lamp on the couch so they can slide their foot into it.

the prep is exactly the same, except if i have time i do a bit of hard skin removal with a rasp and rub a bit of foot cream into the heals and soles of feet. it gives a better overall effect and only takes 5 mins or so.

i do the big toe on one foot
while thats in the lamp curing i do the othar big toe
then i do the four toes on the fist foot and cure
while there curing i do the other four toes.
I find this stops the gel shrinking inbetween painting the gel on a curing.

I don't do tips myself, but girls at my work do and once the tip is on and buffed just apply the bio gel as you normally would. clear first....etc

thanks for that only problem is i dont have enough room to do them on the couch so i think it will have to be foot on my knee as in pedicure could be a bit awkward though!!
