Hello again, im starting to become a regular posting all these threads with my problems! sorry to be a pain again but I am very nervous about my bio sculpture assessment in October, as I tend to fail everythign 1st time i have the same feelign about this! I am worried in case my nails end up bumpy once the colour gel has been layered twice and s-gel for final 4 mins. When I put on a base layer of clear gel and then the 2 layers of colour gel, if i feel it is all bumpy can i at this stage buff it down and apply a 3rd layer of colour or should i just buff and apply the S-gel? Or do I have to wait until the entire nail has been completed (with S-gel) and then if still bumpy buff down and re-apply the S-gel? I hope this makes sense :|.

I would be grateful for anyones help. I dont think i have done a full set yet without them being bump free as I am unsure when to buff them down to a smooth finish. Thank you.

Hi

Relax:hug:

Are we talking over natural nails or over scupts your getting 'lumpiness':green:

You should ensure all your length and strengh is built in and buffed smooth BEFORE you apply any colour.

If your doing a nno you want a thin layer of clear, thin layer of colour x 2 and then finish with your chosen top gloss, clear/sgel/sealer gel.

hth?

:)Hi, first of all there are a couple of reasons your first layer is bumpy 1. Your gel is way to thin
2. You have not checked your work to make sure the gel has leveled before curing
If you have sculpturing gel use it instead of Clear gel in the first layer, you can build with it and it levels out and it is easier to see(only use under colour)
Now if you have applied your first layer of colour and you see bumps best thing to do is cure the first layer of colour (now you can see the bumps)next apply a layer of S Gel not too thin, cure for 2 mins then buff too a nice smooth shape, duel cleanse the nails then apply your second layer of colour then finish with a layer of Sealer gel
You will be fine good luck:)
