bleach up...

hey geeks....
doing a neighbours hair she usually got a highlift blonde but it came out a bit brassy so started getting half heads of bleach highlights with a few scattard highlifts to lift it up (which i didint do) she wants a bleach tint and is a base 7.... where the highlights are is nice and clean but the underneath is quite brassy still.. her hair is very long...
if i did the roots and put a toner on the ends would it turn out even??
or any ideas....???

You need to loift the roots and then before the end of the development time put it on the brassy bits too as it sounds like they arn't light enough so therefore a toner will not get rid of all the brassyness x
