Hi I know I'm an old xxxx but just watched (well on and off due to doing sunday dinner) My Fair Lady, my God they don't make musicals, or films like that any more, what a great uplifting film, particularly for women! Go Eliza!!!! Who else enjoys good old films like these?

Me, me, me, I love them and so do my daughters, they are great, sound of music, little women, and the old childrens films too. They have all stood the test of time, and are being remade, but the originals are best.

Absolutely agree, they are so uplifting . . .

we were just off out this afternoon when I caught a glimpse of Eliza on TV - almost enough to make you change your mind about going out, but I guess a walk on the beach was healthier for us lol!

We also love Oliver!, Chitty Chitty, Sound of Music etc etc

Me too. They used to show them on a Saturday afternoon, and there was nothing I liked better than curling up and watching them.

Talking of classics, I just recently got 'Its a wonderful life' on dvd as they so rarely show it.

And as for modern classics, ET always moves me to tears when he dies...oh dear I really must get out more lol..
