I teach a fitness class 4x a week but I keep hearing about this body pump stuff(les mills). I watched a bit of one of the classes(can't remember which type it was-there are about 8 types of classes) but it looked really complex! lots of quick choreography to learn and not a lot of cueing going on. Has anyone been to any of these?

I'd love to know more. I want to go to a class myself but it doesn't look like the sort of thing you can just walk into-I'd stand there like an idiot not knowing which way to go.

OMG... Body pump KILLS... And the pain gets worse as the days go on.

Body pump is with the wieghts, body combat is a bit like MMA moves in a routine. Well thats what it is at my gym anyway.

hth

Body Pump......is the best fitness class I have ever done. Yes it kills, but it also totally tones you up and changes your body shape!!!
I couldn't believe the difference it made to me, and was well worth a few aches and pains initially.
My problem is with my work hours now I can't get to my class....I have definitely lost definition and put on weight since I stopped, even though I am still going to the gym and doing aerobic workouts 2-3 times a week.

I think you need to be more or less the size you want to be, but just want to be more toned. As when i was doing it, i wasnt the side i wanted to be, and i wasnt gettin any skinnier... i was just going solid!! I will defo go back one i have lost weight, to tone up as it REALLY works for that.

xx

I love the Les Mills program as they are available at so many gyms you know exactly what you're going to get in a class. I do pump, attack, RPM and sometimes combat, all ab fab!
Although I think it can be expensive to train as you have to use their music,& routines and they change appx. every 3 months, but that keeps it really interesting for the participants.

I don't go to body pump any more to lazy if the truth be told but used to go once or twice a week before I got married. I didn't want to loose weight just tone up for my honeymoon.
About 3 months later I was so pleased as I thought my ****s were getting bigger they wer'nt they had just lifted so looked bigger the same for my bum. I am a smoker and couldn't keep up with an aerobics class without needing an oxygen mask lol.
For anyone thinking about going you shouldgive it a try they explain what to do and a lot of the moves are repeated so you can keep up and don't look daft but be warned you will hurt every were for about 3 days afterwards.
I could hardly lift my arm to have a *** by the second day.
