Bottle Sizes

This is a question which has always baffled me - why does conditioner come in smaller bottles.

I can imagine in the olden days when people needed to wash, rinse and repeat, they would be using more shampoo but nowadays we surely only need to wash once.

I tend to use slightly more conditioner than shampoo so why is it not in at least the same size if not bigger bottles than the shampoo.

The majority shampoo twice, condition once. In general people use more shampoo.
