hi can anyone tell me how to avoid getting bubbles in popits and does how hard you press the popit onto the nail have anything to do with it.:wink2:

Apparently you do need to push & press the product into place towards the edges. But don't over do the pushing & pressing as it then becomes patting and this causes air bubbles as does using your product too wet , which is very tempting in the case of popits for fear of it setting before application iykwim.
It's a case of practise, practise & oh yes...practise somemore.
I'm still in my initial practise stage! I did a set on my daughter in the holidays, with glitter tips, applied glitter to the tips & capped with a clear filled popit. I had bubbling in 1, and slight frosting in another, the rest were ok, if not a little over filled and it squidged out the sides a bit, to be hastily wiped off by me and an orange wood stick:irked:

Hiya i have done abou 20 sets with popits and as Bev said dont press to hard :wink2: just hold it in place rather than push :wink2:

I've had a couple of probs like this as well, but I thought it was because you had to let the bead settle a bit? I'm going to the popits training day in Edinburgh next week, are you going too? I love popits and really looking forward to getting it perfected.
OMG Bubbles is one of the few nail questions I get!!! Thanks to a fantastic explanation from the honourable Geeg last week!!!!
You need to allow the bead to settle, really really settle watch how it domes out and goes glassy, it almost does the job for you!! If you allow it to settle an dome and then work the product you wont get bubbles!!
This has been a total revelation to me, I can now do nails without bubbles!!! THANK YOU GEEG!!:Love:
