Since 2013, Cosmetics Executive Women and QVC have developed a partnership that has seen them create QVC & CEW Present Beauty With Benefits. The shows are two hours long and eighty per cent of sales of every beauty item sold was earmarked for CEW's Cancer and Careers charity - an organisation that raises money to support men and women with cancer, specifically those with workplace issues.

At this year's CEW annual "Beauty of Giving" luncheon, the organisation honoured QVC for its work in helping them to raise $2.2 million. Mike George, president and chief executive officer of QVC Inc. said that additional programmes are being planned in support of the cause.

"When my people are passionate about making a difference, I get out of the way," said George as he accepted the award. "Claudia [Lucas, director of beauty merchandising] and her team had passion and vision, and the shows would not have been possible without the enormous generosity of the beauty industry."

"QVC has championed Cancer and Careers on so many levels, and we are so grateful for our partnership that enables us to change the life of cancer patients and survivors," said Kate Sweeney, executive director of the CEW Foundation.

Until then…geek on!
