Hello Everyone,
Thanks for all the positive feedback on my query/ question the other day about Calgel products.
I have now arranged my training with them.
But am interested to know from those who use Calgel, what colours are you finding most popular (as I can't buy every colour from there chart!!)
Any fav's would help me out and any other advice would be great.
What colour do you favour to go over white tips if the lady doesn't just want clear?
Thanks xx

I would invest in their colour pop thingie they now do because that is a lot more true to colour and you can hold them against the client for a skintone match.

If getting the full kit unless they have changed the colours you will get 18, which is a beautiful red and very popular.45 which is a pinky beige, popular with older ladies, goes with anything kind of colour.43 which is the french pink with a bit of sparkle and then your white which is the competition bright white.

At the mo people like A34 and A39 which are glittery pinks.14 a dark reddish mat pink, a37 bright mat pink.
In winter i do a lot of 53 rich red with a slight glitter,31 which is a claret colour and 48 a shimmery coppery beigy brown. The 18 is popular in winter and summer.

Ive more or less got them all now though and people often chop and change and you can also mix them.

I just love calgel especially now i have forced myself to face my fear and sculpt most of my breaks and extensions rather than tip, because they just last and last now and you cannot tell a sculpt and a natural nail apart.
So my best advice is really try and get the hang of sculpting straight away. Its not easy because its a runny gel, but i find they last forever and look better than if they are tipped. Its only a matter of weeks before they are all on nno without any extension anyway as they grow so quick.

Its a brilliant system,im sure you will love it too, good luck.

Just to add as i have re read your post eventhough calgel sell white tips its not good over white tips.As its a soft flexible gel they don't last very long. They will teach you to preferably sculpt your free edge or tip and blend a natural tip.Your pink goes before the white and you swipe out where your white goes.
Clear and white is the quickest way because the clear gel cures in 30 secs to a minute but colours are 3.

i like creating new colours! i would never mix new colour together like they say as i think that just wasting money and gel unused! just curing one colour and then a different colour gives great results!

my fav at the mo is doing one layer of cga 37 and a layer of 49 (bubblegum shimmer) also
one layer of 10 and one layer of 49 (metalic grey/brown) ooooooooo  lol

i have made a whole nail wheel of them cant get enough!!

what i have on my nails at mo is great and very different its like a frosted glittery white/silver! one layer of competion white, one layer of 49 (u can see i like this colour lol) and a thin layer of ice! its amazing with a tan!!!!

Hi I have been using a lot of no. 11 and 15 for orangey reds.
Diamond and Ice are always popular.
35 and 38 for darker plum reds. 31 only in the winter also 53 for xmas red sparkle.
41 and 3 for older ladies. light and pearlised.

I use the purple pearl a bit and the nail art blues and if you mix them with say no3 to lighten them they are beautiful.
Have a look at the latest calgel newsletter for mixing.

hope that helps.:)
