I would invest in their colour pop thingie they now do because that is a lot more true to colour and you can hold them against the client for a skintone match.
If getting the full kit unless they have changed the colours you will get 18, which is a beautiful red and very popular.45 which is a pinky beige, popular with older ladies, goes with anything kind of colour.43 which is the french pink with a bit of sparkle and then your white which is the competition bright white.
At the mo people like A34 and A39 which are glittery pinks.14 a dark reddish mat pink, a37 bright mat pink.
In winter i do a lot of 53 rich red with a slight glitter,31 which is a claret colour and 48 a shimmery coppery beigy brown. The 18 is popular in winter and summer.
Ive more or less got them all now though and people often chop and change and you can also mix them.
I just love calgel especially now i have forced myself to face my fear and sculpt most of my breaks and extensions rather than tip, because they just last and last now and you cannot tell a sculpt and a natural nail apart.
So my best advice is really try and get the hang of sculpting straight away. Its not easy because its a runny gel, but i find they last forever and look better than if they are tipped. Its only a matter of weeks before they are all on nno without any extension anyway as they grow so quick.
Its a brilliant system,im sure you will love it too, good luck.
Just to add as i have re read your post eventhough calgel sell white tips its not good over white tips.As its a soft flexible gel they don't last very long. They will teach you to preferably sculpt your free edge or tip and blend a natural tip.Your pink goes before the white and you swipe out where your white goes.
Clear and white is the quickest way because the clear gel cures in 30 secs to a minute but colours are 3.
