Hi, I am currently looking into doing a gel nail course so that I can perform natural nail overlays for my clients. I have had both Bio sculpture and Calgel and both give beautiful results...however I noticed one lasts much longer than the other. I just desperately would like peoples opinions and views on which system I should go for as they are both very expensive to train in. Previously I had looked at doing IBD as their products seem much more accessible through my wholesalers etc but would IBD give the same effects and benefits of Calgel and Bio Sculpture? Please someone help me make this decision!!! Thanks xxx

hey there .. so many gels to choose from:lol: i used bio for4 yrs but changed to brisa and love it do some research and see wot works 4 you as they are both different gels xx:hug:

Do you mind me asking why you changed from biosculpture?? Is a Brisa a soft gel like bio sculpture? As predominantly I will be doing natural overlays. :)

Out of interest which 1 lasts longer?

I use calgel and have been looking into bio sculpture because it has more variety than calgel, but on research im swaying more towards brisa!

you can do NNO (natural nail overlays) with any gel/system....just depends on what you want from a gel...

Soak off gels like Bio are great for NNO on shortish nails but long nails or over tips i would recommend a non soak off gel.

I found that Calgel lasted longer on me and a couple of my friends said the same. Bio Sculpture seemed to crack after a week, but that may just be on me.

When you say it has more variety than Clagel...in what way?

as a Natural nail overlay

Brisa is not a soft soak off gel (thank the lord lol). But you can use Brisa very successfully as a natural nail overlay ... Bigbonus .. Brisa never goes yellow or needs soaking off evey 3 weeks.

I have used and trained with several supposedly high end gels including IBD, OPI LCN and the one that out shone all the rest for colour clarity, longevity, strength and durability on natural nails or for sculpting on forms or tips was And is CND Brisa Gels ... Hypoallergenic and low heat emmision etc etc .. can't say enough about it.

Brisa from CND is the gel that has for the last 5 years been voted the top performing gel by nail technicians in USA Nails Magazine. There is a reason for that .... because it is a fab gel system for whatever use you have for it..

I have been using Bio for a few years now and cant recall Bio ever cracking. If a top coat is put on the top that can occasionally crack, which is easily removed with non acetone remover but not the gels themselves I have never had that problem.

Could perhaps be how they were applied.
