I use Bio Sculpture Gel but lately I have been getting white patches on the nail beds - I know this can be caused by not using a lick layer first but I do and still when I soak off I get these flaky patches on the nails - am also having problems with infills the gel seems to roll off . any suggestions ?

Hi the white patches can come from the gel not curing so it is damp on the nail bed. 1. Make sure that you apply the gel not too thin or too thick, too thin or too thick will not cure properly 2. Make sure the gel is cured for 2 mins without removing hands from UV light 3. Check the time you have had you UV globes they only last 500 hours and also that you have 2 x 9 watt in your light box.
The above problems can also be giving you the problem of gel rolling off too thin or not cured properly or if you are using a file that is too coarse.
I would recommed that after all above is correct then soakoff the nails with white spots wash hands well then rubb in nail and cuticle conditioner before you start your gel
Hope this helps
Bye for Now:)

is this on an 'older' client by any chance?

I have seen this and just put it down to dehydration, how often are you soaking off>

When you say the gel 'rolls off' can you elaborate a bit:green:

  • Is this on just one client or a few of them?
  • Does it happen on every nail?
  • Is it a natural nail overlay or over tips/sculpts?
  • Where does it start to 'roll off from?' the free edge or the cuticle area?
  • are you fully curing for the correct time...and with a BIO lamp
  • are you using bio's prep products? (and are you removing them !)
  • are you removing the shine before application
  • is the nail 'dry' before you start to apply product?
  • are you using executive base?
Sorry if you ARE doing all of the above, im just trying to trouble shoot a bit with you !!!
