My mum has had a fungal nail infection in her thumb nail as a result of being low after radio therapy last year. She has had a course of anti-biotics from the doctor which seems to have done the trick but her whole nail was lifting from the bed.

I told her to go see her local health centre and they trimmed the nail back by about 80% this morning but have said that the nail bed seems healthy as does the small amount of new growth which is showing.

I though it would be helpful for her to apply some solar oil daily to keep the skin healthy and to help promote the new growth.

Would this be ok?

yes it would....you can put solar oil just about anywhere..

That would be wonderful for the nail!
