Loving Shellac

Hi, planned a girlie night in with sister-in-law last night to re-shellac her toes.
The shellac was still perfect but had grown out loads, we worked out she'd had it on 9 weeks
When I removed it the nails were strong underneath but had a yellowish stain to them, cleaned and scrub freshed them which brought most but not all of the stain colour off!!
Re-shellaced them with Hotski to Tchotchke which looks gorgeous but just wanted to check if you can actually leave them on too long?
