Carving nail art?

I apologise if ther.is already a thread about this im using my phone and doesnt tend to let me search for a thread search.
Im trying to get bk into nail art as I havent done it for yrs and been using gelish... glitters.. pigment powders (which I abso love) but now ive heard of carving..?? Any1 show me any pics of carving as ive tried lookin online but all I get bk is pics of broken damaged nails???

These were all done with shellac Rockstars then colour coat then carved out to show the rockstar underneath. :)
 
Apply your base colour or rockstar curing all layers then apply your next colour. Leave it to sit on the nail for 30-60 seconds so some of the solvents I Shellac evaporate. Using a brush, dotting tool or whatever you like carve out your design then cure as usual. Apply Top Coat and cure then you are done.

I use gelish so would this be the same leave it for a min then start carving design?? Xx

As Steph says, I did exactly the same, it is a lot easier if you leave the invited shellac for 30 seconds as it doesn't bleed back into the carving. Good luck Charlotte

Did you put the glitter in cured or uncure colour coat

I put the glitter on the inhibition layer, then put a layer of clearly pink over, then colour coat (which has to be relatively thick as you have to cover the glitter in just one coat)

I tired this before and it turned out terribly, going to give it another try this weekend!
 
Took me a couple of goes to get the shellac to stay put use dsperse on my tools and it worked wish id used a brighter glitter now

I put different colours underneath the carving, teal, pink and lilac.
