This was my first attempt. I used a dotting tool to carve.

I'm the type if ii can't do something I give up... This is one of the things ii couldn't get the hang of... Ii use gelish so has anyone got any tips on how they do it & what they use I.e dotting tool & brushes etc pics would be fab :) xx

I did something like this on the gelish nail art course, you paint your bottom colour first (the one that you want to come through) then cure, put the next colour over the top and before you cure use a striper brush but when you finish the stroke wipe the paint off of the brush so your not putting it where you don't want it then cure, top it off as normal sorry if this doesn't make much sense I'm not very good at explaining things!
 
Ive been told its alot easier to carve.using shellac??? I use gelish and find it tricky doing anything too detailed as tje gelish wants to self level and spread over design again :( found it alot more sucessful with pigment powder ontop of gelish
