Carving nail art?

How did you get such perfectly straight carved lines? I could never do this so neat without a trick so PLEEEAAASSEE share it! beautiful design x

Hi I waited for the colour to kind of set into place then I used a dotting tool to do the lines.. Some weren't as straight as others but from far away look fab haha

Read this thread earlier so thought would have a go, this is my first attempt. I know my stripes are bit wide but when I tried thinner it was closing back in so did wider to just follow through whole process for first go
