I think I need a restyle (yes again LOL) I have been growing it into a bob for a while and I am not sure I like it.

To hair geeks and those happy with their hair style - what do you look for in a style - how do you know whether a style will suit you or not.

I have a hair appointment in a couple of weeks so I want to go armed with ideas and suggestions.

I am happy to say to my stylist to just colour it the way she wants (within reason, she knows what I like and dont like) but as to styles it is much more difficult.

I will find a picture and put it in the gallery so you can all laugh (LOL) and maybe give some advice on styles.

LMAO Fiona ... I have posted exactly the same thing in my blog  I have a bob too & am looking for styling/cutting advice!! I will watch your thread too!!

fiona,
are you the sort of gal, who will spend a lot of time on their hair each day, or do you want a simple get up brush and go style?

as i think a few more choppy layers and slightly shorter would suit you, but you would have to "do "it by applying products and giving it a bit of juuuuzzzzing in the moring!! a bit of wax rubbing it in to define layers, quick spritz of spray and viola!!

the colour is lovely and so are your specs!!( who helped you choose them??!!!)

I ain't a hair geek but must say i think your hair suits you..it looks nice...you said about it not being so sleek when you do it....have you tried using a drop of serum to smooth it.

Thanks!

Hmm who helped me choose my specs - I am terrible with remembering who said what LOL

I have got into the habit of washing and blow drying it every morning and using my straighteners. I use Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum but I dont have oodles of time. I think if it was similar but shorter it might help.

My idea is something more like this - http://www.salongeek.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=7845&c=538 - much shorter at the sides and very shaped in at the back. I hate drying the back as I cannot reach and I dont see it anyway LOL.

yep very nice fi, but i woulkd have some hair at the back though,
oi it was me that helped you choose your specs!!!
love the new pic, take it to your hairdressers and have it just like that , but in my honest opinion, you ill need to see some hair at the back,
you can still have it short at back but featherey????

let us know what you decide and then piccies lol

I know it was you! LOL

I wasnt meaning having a no. 1 or anything all the way up the back. I have seen people with the back that is bobbed to a certain level and then cut really close in to the nape of the neck if that makes sense. The problem with all these hairstyle sites and pictures is they never show the back so you cannot describe it to the hairdresser.

I think the style you like will suit you very well . . . but I can see that graduated fringe getting in the way when you've got your head bent over the nail desk lol! Lovely though.

Are you thinking of going darker as in the pic?

:hug:That's exactly the style I was going to suggest but I think you should have some blonde put through it. Love it! Love you !

Hi Fi,if this is the style you want, make sure your stylist take only a minimal amount off the front to ensure the cut is complementary to your face shape, hth's x

Thanks, I will see what she says when I go - I think it is 13th. I will still be having my colours - blonde and copper as I couldnt go back to my dark LOL.

Have you seen Fern Britton's hair?

I think you would suit it like that........and it is similar to what all the hair experts have been describing ( I think).
