Choosing a Spray Tan Solution

Hey Geeks,

I finally got around to doing the training for spray tanning :green:. Now starts the minefield of which solution to go for

I'm not going to ask the piece of string question as to which brand to go for, or which is the best! but just wondered how you all chose the solution you did.

What was your criteria?

How many solutions/companies did you trial?

What put you off a solution/company?

What do I need to be on the look out for when choosing what to use?

Any help much appreciated x

I went for the one I use cos I like the bright orange uniforms the assistants have and the fact there's a half descent bacon butty van just outside the main entrance.

Oh and with my favorite supplier there running a 10% off all antique oak 50GAL drums this coming weekend and you get an extra slice of bacon with your buttie to boot....no one ...and I mean no one...can top that kind of a deal :lol::hug:

Hi, I know you'll probably think I am being very biased, but my favourite is Tantrick, but the truth is I have only been a Tanrick trainer for around a year but have used the tanning solutions for around 5 years, I loved it so much it made me want to pass on my knowlegde.

I tried a lot of tanning solutions before making my choice, and this was the best one i found

I did it the other way round i am a spray tan junkie i have tried them all fakebake, st tropez ,sienna, celebrity secrets,tantruth, sunlabs sudo ect i was visiting my friend cathy in liverpool who had recently changed to nouvatan i had never heard of it but thought what the hell ile give it a go i was so impressed as it looks so natural i bought a kit from them and i get my bo to spray me ! i now do spray tanning part time,Cath has stopped using sudo all together now and is miles busier now shes using Nouva

Hi I have used St Tropez and Fake bake in the past and tried tantrick nouva and naturasun but recently I tried Vani-T its amazing and they have just launched ther 1 hour tan its brill. Happy hunting x

How many solutions/companies did you trial? I went straight with Couture as i trained with them, i still like to try others incase the grass may be greener lol. Ive tried tantrick, A-tan and Couture.

What put you off a solution/company? I was put off by Fake bake due to poor customer service reviews & St tropez as i havent heard very good things from them either!

What do I need to be on the look out for when choosing what to use? Good reviews from other people are important as you can see whos the best and whos not so good. Its not all about the solution as customer service is highly important when choosing a spray tanning company as when you run out of solution and sometimes need it fast you want a company who are able to send out next day like couture.

Used to use Couture and really liked it - have nothing bad to say about it but ......

Switched to Xen Tan a few months ago and absolutely LOVE it. Fab colour with olive undertones, fab smell and to top it off - just got all the retail products at the weekend. Been so happy playing with them all weekend lol

We use Nouvatan - been really pleased with it and so have our clients.

Really affordable and customer service is impeccable. Cannot fault them at all.

Not heard anything good about Fake Bake or St Tropez!!

I had tried sienna x as a client, had seen others who had used fake bake and tested Vani-T who trained me. I was most interested in Vani-T because it has 100% natural ingredients and is organic based. I tried it out and had loads of people comment on how good I looked, so decided to train with them.
I will test others at some point - but haven't yet as I am so happy with this one.
Points I considered were when looking were:
How natural it looks and range,
On going company support and training,
Natural ingredients,
Price,
Retail items.

Good luck, I am sure you will find one that suits you. If you have already trained then I would phone as many tan companies as you can think off and ask for samples and get testing xx
