claw/hook nails

hi all
just wunderin, if there is any special way to complet a set of hook/claw nails,like when you do ski jump nails, had a client with said nails the other day, but if a person with hook/claw nails came in i would be stuck!!!!!!!!!!!!
all help would as ever be much appreciated.

Always sculpt the Captain (hook )

Reduce the free edge as much as possible and slap a form on to counter the downward edge.
