Hi I was wondering how long should we keep client consultation cards for? I know there is a timescale by law but cant remember if it's 3 or 5 years or maybe neither. Tia xxx

I keep mine for 5 years or basically if I run out of space but sometimes a client walks in says you did my nails or facial few years ago it was so nice what colour was that! I almost want to cry but luckily I keep my records !

Ok, thank u xx

I keep mine and just put into storage (incase the ICO are reading, it is a 20inch thick steel vault, wrapped in chains and barbed wire, which has been dropped to the bottom of a tank of acid and is guarded by acid proof sharks with lasers on their heads). Think it is 5-6 years just in case you are sued. However I believe if the person who is suing you was under 18 at the time of any incident has 5-6 years after their 18th birthday, not from the date of the incident to sue.
