Clip ins matting up

I have clip in extensions and I keep them clean and conditioned and whenever i put them in they end up getting matted and knotted up :irked: Is there any treatment i can put on them?? I just want them to stop matting up so i can wear them :Scared:

Also, forgot to mention, they tend to matt towards the top near the clips

Plenty of serum! Mine always used to matt up in the nape of my neck.. Not a good look!
