I currently use IBD products but am not entirely happy and wanted to find out about doing a CND training course. I am not in a position to pay loads of money out and while I appreciate you get what you pay for etc, I have to be realistic about what I can afford right now.:irked: Anybody got any suggestions??:)

Also, as I've paid quite a lot for my IBD lamp, could this be used with other gels?

I think you should ring Sweet Squared on 0845 210 6060 & they can advise you of the costs for taking a conversion course with CND's Brisa Gel. The costs usually include kit too, but not the lamp.

As for using the IBD lamp to cure Brisa....well, Brisa is a different gel to others on the market and to quote Geeg....

The Brisa lamp uses a different type of UV bulbs to other UV lamps. The bulbs have a higher concentration of UV output. Brisa contains less photo-initiators in the gel (which is why it hasn't got a painful heat spike on curing) ... less photo-initiators means the bulbs have to be more intense to effect a complete cure which is why the Brisa bulbs are different.

Having said that, the Brisa lamp will cure any gel, but Brisa gels will only have a complete cure with the Brisa lamp using high intensity UV bulbs. Always buy your bulbs from a CND supplier so that you are sure you get the HI ones. Another thing to consider is that the Brisa lamp as been designed to hold the hand in the correct position so that the position of the bulbs in the lamp cover the whole surface of each nail.

This is a quote from Geeg on this thread .....
