hiya,

i have been looking at the coloured tips to use with acrylic - it got me thinking - u cant use them on really short nails can you because of blending them in?? Or am i wrong on this? If correc, how do u explain this to clients without hurting anyones feelings??

You can buy well less coloured tips hun, no blending then, but I cant remember where I saw them sorry....xx

hi, thanks for your reply, if i get well-less ones, can u still use them on really short bitten nails for example? As surely the colour will be too far down the nail and wont look right as placing the tip higher up wont sork due to there being no nail to stick it to...?

Hi :)
Your best bet would be to buy some coloured acrylic, and use a custom blend to extend the nail bed and sculpt the nail instead of using tips.

i second that! investing in colored acrlyic and sculpting your tips is a much better option, you'll have a lot more options as you can mix colors, glitters etc... plus you can backfill them and give your clients a real permanent look instead of having to removing the tips when they need filled. however, i do have some colored tips that i bought for party nails, but i honestly have never used them! i give my clients the option and they never choose them over colored acrylic:lol:

i wud use colour acrlyic
