Hey all,

Very new to this so be gentle!! LOL!

I would really appreciate some help though!!

Ive currently got 2 techs on an employed basis but Im about to take someone on, on a self employed basis working a few days a week and she wants to pay me commission on earnings, Im happy with this but shes left me to come up with a rate suitable!!

I'll be providing all products and all clients (she has alot of experience but has only recently moved to the area therefore doesnt have a client base)

So any tips on the figure I should be taking from her, also although shes self employed Im providing clients so will these be seen as the salon clients or her clients?

Any advice is much appreciated!!!!

:) xxx

I would personally charge her 40%.
However you do really want the whole thing to be in your favour really so you could forget the charge on treatments and charge a set price of £20 per day, that way even she is quiet, you still get payed!
If you are promoting on her behalf, the clients she gets through that will be her clients.
I am basically going to be doing the same in my new spa, im going to rent the manicure table, but my attitude is im happy to promote her as I will not get my £100 per week, the clients I get for her will be hers. I hate doing nail extensions, such a pain!!
