Hi geeks,

Im starting to dread doing nails :( I dont mind when its friends & family. I only offer Bio sculpture, & love the product just find myself thinking 'ergh nails' im thinking of removing my online advertising & keeping my current clients. Plus all the products are quite expensive! Im mobile & charge £2.50 more than my local competitor.

Id like to add intimate waxing & for the first time ever Im considering massage!

I love spray tanning, waxing, billion dollar brows, lash tinting, I don't enjoy lash extensions.

I think id like make up, but its buying all of the kit plus I can only see it being a wedding thing (For example I don't know anyone use a make up artist for a night out) I'm mobile not looking to be in a salon.

Im not sure what I'm asking here, anyone in a similar situation?

What is your favourite treatment? & your worst?
Xx

There was a similar thread on here back along! If you don't enjoy a service don't offer it! Think about for a bit first and decide what it is about it you don't like. Can you make more money in less time with another service? Have you had to turn people away from other services that you do enjoy to do the nails? Is it that you feel under confident in it and you worry about the service after it? The fact that you still want to keep some clients means you may just not feel confident, and want to stick to people you know with it? I stopped offering liquid and powder and I mean I won't even touch it any more not even for twice the price or for my own mum lol! It just wasn't for me any more and I moved onto natural nails only! Xxx

Hi, Think Id like to keep the clients just for the money at the moment, thats my only problem with having regulars is I'm use to the money.

Ive got my regulars on strict aftercare routines, I do dread new clients having problems which are usually their own fault. I find some of my tanning clients asking about nails & I'm secretly thinking 'please don't ask to book in' I have my own nails on for 3 weeks (plus regulars every 2-5 weeks depending in who it is) so I know my work lasts. I don't feel like I enjoy it, at one point id have tried to persuade anyone to have their nails done.

Good thing about nails is the repeat custom every couple of weeks.

Yes I don't hate it to the point where I never want to touch my nail kit again, id always keep on top of my own at the very least friends & family.

Xx

I don't like nails very much. Toenails I love when doing a pedicure. Fingernails I hate....along with anything else that is mainstream, eyelashes, waxing, make up....I do wonder sometimes what I'm doing here.

I love skincare, pedicures and I love CACI, but little else.

I agree virtues I much prefer toes... Weird ha!

Id love to get in to CACI but I don't have the funds available :(

I love pedicures, eyelash extensions and tints. Not keen on manicures (which I thought I'd love) and starting to hate Shellac and gel nails! oh dear!

I love all things nails from full nail extensions to Shellac to Minx to manis.

I will do things to the toenails but am not venturing underneath:Scared:

I gave up spray tanning because a) I wasn't particularly enjoying it and b) it was turning my room a funny colour lol

I have decided to specialise JUST in nails because that is my passion and I love it, and when I do nails I don't really feel like I'm working because I'm enjoying myself so much:cool:

Be true to yourself and do what you love, and ditch what you don't (ideally - your bank account may tell you otherwise:rolleyes:)

I'm kind of in the same situation I offer minx and tanning, I love tanning and it's a great money earner, now I've decided to increase the price if my shellacs a) in order to earn more but b)possibly not bring in as many clients for that service unless they are serious about looking after their nails or have money to throw away!
