Hi, at the mo im still in the middle of setting up to go mobile as some of you probably know.. Just wanted to ask a quick question re: consultations..
When i was at college the consutation involved medical questionnnaire which asked about stomach complaints (!?) recent operations, cancers/ tumors, diabetes, high/ loq bp etc etc.
It also included lifestyle questionnaire to enable personalised home care advice and inspection and noting of condition of nails.
Now, is it necessary to include all of this? I understand why we were told to do it all as it is all relavant to what treatment we should / shouldn't give the client. But how much detail do you really need to go into? If you all do this, could someone pm a sample of questions to include to give me an idea of what i do / dont need to include..
Also, do you do all this over the phone (apart from inspecting nails of course) or do you go and visit the client first before booking a treatment? If you do it over the phone, do you ask if they have any discolured nails, cuts etc on their hands / feet?
One of the medical questions was 'are you menstruating?'!!!!
I couldnt believe it! If someone asked me that when i was getting my nails done id tell them where to go!!! - or ask them if they are!!! Our tutor was a bit OTT at times and is no longer teaching at the college due to all the probs she caused, so i just wanna make sure i ask the right things!!
