Hi All,
Firstly, I hope this is in the right place, as it is relevant to all beauty treatments, and not really under one subject, and in advance, sorry if it isn't :o
Havent done a thread for ages, and I have been thinking for a long time now... "Have contra indications changed since you were at college / qualified"?
The reason i asked this, mainly is down to the debate about diabetics and for a long time, a lot of treatments WERE not allowed to be carried out, now some insurance companies say they need a GP letter, some say down to your own discretion, some say it is fine and to keep an eye on the skin etc.
I have contacted my insurers and asked if THEY have an updated list of contraindications for all treatments but they have asked to contact City & Guilds who I qualified with (I am awaiting an email). They have given advice on specific medical conditions when I have asked for advice and I know I can always call regarding specifics.
Does anyone else have this problem, especially with a consultation to know a full, exhausted list of questions to ask relating to the treatment without feeling cautious that you may not be asking EVERYTHING?
I would love to hear your comments, as we're all meeting and dealing with the public, new clients, and doing consultations.
Thanks
