Costume: Cat Ears out of hair?

My daughter will be performing Cats at the NIA this month and wants me to make cat ears using her hair. Any ideas? X

Buy a set of cat ears on a headband - like fancy dress/halloween ones, and then cover with some cheap hair extensions maybe to match her hair colour?

Her hair could be scraped back in a bun and the hair extensions wrapped around the ear forms, from a distance will look like her hair.

She can't have ears on a headband as the dancing they are doing they will proberbly come off
