Hair will not hold chemicals?

I’ve gotten Japanese straightening for years. My hair would stay straight for at least 6 months. Now it lasts one week. My hair seems to no longer hold chemicals. Keratin is the same… it used to last several months and now lasts about one week. Any advice?

Had anything changed health wise, are you on any medication, as some medications can make the hair quite resistant
