Silly question. Does anyone have a cv template? My cv is quite old and also is geared towards a accounts type job. So i wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for layout eg. where to put any extra courses etc. Also as there are few jobs in my area I was going to offer my services foc to a salon has anyone any ideas what is the best approach for this.

hi diamondsue!

ive recently been doing the same thing. i just used a template that was on microsoft publisher! and i had a look on google too- i just typed in cv template and loads came up! i then used different templates to kind of mix and match and get the right wording.
i also wrote a cover letter explaining a bit about myself and what job i am looking for/ hours wanted etc, and sent it off in the post. i must admit a lot of people didnt even bother getting back in touch which was just plain rude. i know some people prefer to go in to salons in person and take your cv. at least then the manager gets to see you in person. or you could also try ringing salons up- just make sure that you speak to the manager or owner and not just the receptionist etc. i found my new job on www.hairandbeautyjobs.co.uk it could be .com but its on google!
good luck and hope you find something you love soon! let us know how you get on! x

Thanks for that. When you go into the salon would you be in a tunic and trousers or just dressed nicely?
