I just done a set of nails on a client that has her nails done all the time, but with the dreaded electric files. Her nails were very tender, so obviously very thin due to filing. I did her enhancements and theylooked beautiful only i couldn't blend in tip completely so that you couldn't see that blended line, i did not want to cause her any more discomfort but also it was impossible to get that line to dissappear. I normally have no problems at all with blending in tips.

Do you all think that this should cause a problem, i did use an opaque powder so as this could not be seen, and have also had words with her regarding how i can help her natural nails return to their natural healthy state.

What do you think??xx

You could use the CND Performance tips, as they are already, thin and require no blending. Another option would be to sculpt.

I find that with nails that badly damaged a NNO (natural nail overlay) is the best option...added length to a already fragile nail can cause further problems. I know thats not always what the client wants and its difficult when they are sat there saying they want tips but its what i recommend.

I definately agree with Bagpuss - NNO is the way to go.

I do need to say though, please don't blame the e-file - blame the tech.
