Hi,

I'm about to start doing microdermabrasion and need a good skin care range, that I could use with it. I'm sure you can't use aromatherpy based products after you have had a microdermabrasion treatment??? Is it a good range to good with microdermabrasion???

I'm a home based salon and I know that not many good skincare companies will let you stock there products,,,, there isn't a salon in my area that uses dermalogica and the company who I'm training the microdermabrasion machine reommended them. I'm trying to sort out money and everything out right now,,, and wondered if anyone know's how much the set up cost's???? I'm waiting for them to get back to me.

Thanks

Kerry

I don't think Dermalogica will supply to home based salons but i could be wrong.

I don't think they supply unless you have 2 rooms or more. You need to call them and check.

I have spoken to them to check it they did supply and they do if you have a treatment room at home. They are sending me some info in the post, they wouldn't tell me set up cost ect, said all the info I needed was in the pack.

I spoke to a Dermalogica rep yesterday about my home salon, and she said they do supply as long as the purpose of the room is for professional use only or something like that!

I was told by one of their York trainers that they are happy to supply home and mobile therapists as long as you are willing to carry the whole range. I think the start-up was about £4000

Well its good that they dont discriminate against homeworkers but what they are saying is you need to be registered as a proper business premises.Which you dont have to do if your room is multipurpse which a lot of home workers make sure it is ie dining room or bedroom so you dont get into business rates that kind of thing which makes things much more complicated including insurance, rubbish collection, health and safety etc etc.Not sure how they would know though and if they know would anyone else have to know if you get my drift.
Of course you may be set up as a full home business so no worries anyway.

I can't speak highly enough of an Australian skincare range called Skinstitute. High end results with 200% markup for the retail range which is still affortable for your clients.

Extremely low start up costs.. might be worth looking at.

Wow had a look at the skinstitute website. It looks great and i never heard of it!! The synthetic snake venom sounds amazing. Must get myself some... Do they have a distributor over here or do we have to order it from Australia?? :?:

Not entirely sure but if you contact them I'm sure they will let you know :D
