Digital camera

Hi guys

im looking for a good digital camera for taking pictures of family etc but also for models eg make up and nails, to make a portfolio for the salon.

what so i need to be looking for in a camera? i no the mega pixel should be good but is there anything else, what makes are good?

What sort of price range have you got? I am a Fuji fan myself - they do a couple of good Fuji ones in there, but if cash would allow, I would go for an entry level DSLR such as the Canon 100D
