I know that this may seem like an obvious question, but as I am thinking of doing some mobile work in the near future, one thing I have been wondering about is how do you ensure all your tools are properly disinfected when mobile. Obviously your clients need to see you following proper hygienic practice and I wondered if more experienced geeks would share some of their ideas.

Some ideas I have thought of are:

Disinfecting beforehand, placing in clean tool bag and wiping with Mundo Hard Surface Wipes on arrival. Spray clean files with Mundo file spray on arrival.

Transfering small amount Mundo Rapid Instrument & Tool Disinfectant in a screw top glass jar to put tools in during set up. (Takes 5 mins to fully disinfect)

Is there any such thing as a water tight disinfection tray? as this obviously would be more professional.

So I wondered if anyone could add some more ideas. Carrying different bottles of disinfectant adds more weight to carry so I'm trying to thing of a cost effective and efficient method that conveys professionalism.

Thanks in advance for your help :)

I sterilise all of my tools at the end of the day.I keep all of the clean ones in a pot and put the dirty ones in a separate pot. My clients know why I do this, so I have no need to start spraying things in front of them. It's a waste of product if I have already done so.
As for nail files, when finishing the treatment I give it to my client to keep.
It's great to hear of therapists being so professional hun. Well done to you. There are so many out there that just don't care xxx
