You're right hun, no one will insure her if she's not qualified. And who would want to pay someone that's not qualified ?
There's a big difference in what you learn when learning yourself and being trained!!!
Tanning training is not expensive at all.
I don't mean this in a nasty way at all Hun, but she needs to change her attitude if she wants to succeed in this business. Too many DIYers out there as it is.

So yes training is needed :) and I hope she is very successful (after she is trained hehe) ;) xxxx

If your friend wants to professionally spray tan paying clients she will need proof of recognised training in order to gain insurance x

As said yes she will need to do an acredited training course to get a certificate that will be accepted by an insurance company.

On that training she will learn not just how to spray people but other important information (like what the conra-indications to tanning are) and how to set her equipment for the best results.

She most definetley needs training - not only for insurance purposes but the knowledge that comes with it!

Tanning isn't about wafting a gun about covering all areas and practice is all well and good but the training explains all sorts of areas that don't come naturally such as tanning men, larger ladies, people with specialist skin conditions etc.

I found my training to be invaluable and even afterwards I was still constantly learning while practicing both through here and when faced with new challenges.

I love tanning and I love my repeat customers so the best thing your friend could do is train with a reputable company and have the best start to her tanning career x

I'd agree with everyone, not just the knowledge but does ur friend really want clients not happy with the outcome, and if something goes wrong the expense of being sued if she's not insured ... Training is so valuable and not that expensive - I don't know why anyone would do treatments without getting training ...
