Hi does anyone rent a room in a sunbed shop? if so what is your most popular treatments etc?did you find it easy to build up?

i currently work a few days a week in a sunbed shop doing nails. the girl i work for rents the space and only does nails and the book is ALWAYS full. as it turns out though, the girl is leaving as shes moving away so ill be taking over the renting and doing nails eyelashes and waxing. Ive already got loads of bookings and i dont start till 29th march so its looking like a great opportunity.

The salon owner also does spray tanning in there which is also very successful considering its within the sunbed shop. the most important part is the location if the location is good and your room/area looks professional and nice then it could be a great opportunity. Youll have the front desk to put up a poster and leave leaflets and there will always be people coming in and out. The space in the salon i work that is used for nails used to be a sunbed room but it was opened up so that you can see people passing etc and people always chat or ask for a price lst as they leave because they can see u sitting there, it works very well. good luck xx

I rent a room in a sunbed shop, have been here 4 years in July.
Most popular treatment is waxing. Pedicures, lashes, massages, facials & tinting are very popular too.
I cant remember finding it hard to build up, as I already rented a room locally before where I was for 3 & half years so luckily my other clients followed me.
If this a new venture for you, just advertise, advertise, advertise.
If you havent got a website already I highly recommend you get one, a brilliant way of advertising - Ruth Mills has recently made my website for me, & Carl has done my logo & graphics on my website. - Fantastic duo!!
Good luck!

hi there i run a tanning salon, at the moment we have a nail tech who is kept busy most days and we offer spray tans which is still quite new for us and is doing well. I will son be renting a room there part time offering lashes. We do get asked for waxing a lot to although its not a service we offer.

hi. i own a tanning salon and we have a first floor where we do spray tan, nail extensions, pedicures, waxing, lashes etc. we have up to 100 people a day for sunbeds in the summer so it was very easy to add on extra services. we are on the high street and have huge posters in the window everytime we introduce a new treatment. we dont really do much other advertising but being on the main road through town helps and the fact we are next door to the best hairdressers in town is a bonus. we give the hairdressers a discount and they come in a lot for treatments which is great advertising for us.
