Hi guys I was at the beauty show and Australian Gold tanning solution was there again, so I bought myself a gallon as it looks great, but I just wondered if anyone else uses this? I have been looking through the forum and can't see anyone mentioning it. Just curious lol x

i dont personally use it but the salon i work in does and they are really busy with tans and the clients seem to like it its quite a natural colour so they offer fake bake aswell but AG is far more popular. not sure what strength they use but i know they use drops too for clients that like it darker xx

Having deviated somewhat from the love affair I had with my previous tanning solution (due to formulation changes and nothing more might I add), I have tried at least 2 dozen spray tans. When someone pointed me in the direction of Australian Gold as they thought it was just what I was looking for I was very disappointed.

I was told it would be a deep golden brown colour and all I got (even from the darkest of their solutions) was a decent 8% and no more. Having said that fade was good with no patchiness even on my dehydrated skin.

I have been spray tanning for a long time and know exactly what I am looking for and what I want from a spray tan and nothing has yet come close, apart from one which was nearly there.

I am still searching unfortunately but am hopeful that the one I really have high hopes ( a new solution from the same supplier as "my nearly tan") isn't available until mid to late June.

I could have written your post, I wonder if you used the same solution as me and have noticed a change in the product?
Also I am waiting for a new tan to be released very very soon I bet it's the same one:D How wierd :D

Hi everyone,

As a newbie to spray tanning (my girls will 'do' it - I'll just buy it ... lol) I'm trawling this forum and the info and advice on here is brilliant, so thank you for that.

There are, of course, things that I don't know anything about and this is the first time I've come across 'drops'. I gather that they are a dark pigment added to tanning fluids. Can someone enlighten me please?

Thank you,
Tess

the booster drops have a high DHA content and when added to solution increase their strength to give a darker tan x

Im looking to move onto AG as Ive heard its great! Cant seem to source the booster drops tho, can anyone help?

Also id be interested to know about the new tan due out in June, spill ladies :green:

Crikey you two are cryptic!! Any chance of sharing the name of your wonder tan? I don't offer tanning, only waxing, but am always looking for the perfect tan on my pale skin!!

Hey
Ive used Australian Gold for 2 years and have found it a very popular product. I also offer Fake Bake however, the number of sprays done using this product is declining and customers are moving over to Australian Gold.

The colour is very natural and adapts to differing skin tones very well enabling me to offer it to even the palest skinned customers in the knowledge that they are not going to turn Orange. As a result of this I have found that I have been able to broaden my client base and I am finding the product also very popular with more mature customers.

I personally wear Australian Gold. I am of average skin tone and generally do not add booster drops to my tan the colour is very natural and gives me a sun kissed colour which is perfect for everyday and doesnt screem 'look at me ive got fake tan on'!!!. Saying that if im going on a nightout i may add a booster drop for a deeper colour but only one as any more would look stupid on me. The colour lasts the whole week and fades gradually which is great as there is nothing worse than patchy tans.

The booster drops enable you to deepen the colour if customers require. I was originally told that the maximum number of drops you could use was 3 as any more would be a waste of money for the customer as it can only increase the colour by soo much. I have now heard that they say you can add 4 drops maximim and even know people who offer customers up to 6 drops!!!

I have two suppliers whom I buy from on a regular basis and can supply their website if you require.

Hope this helps x

We have been supplying Australian Gold Spray Tan solution 1 US Gallon to salon and mobile tanners for many years and it gets great reviews!!!!

Customers love the Golden Natural outcome!!!!!!

Made in the USA high quality!!!! Australian Gold has been in the tanning game for years, they are known more for their indoor tanning creams and SPF lotions but the sunless spray tan solution is fantastic and customers who tan know the name (brand)!!!!!!!!

Regarding booster drops you can use any drops with AG. All drops are just high percent DHA!!!!! My Customers use Tandare drops!!!! Simply add a tiny drop to 100ml of tanning solution to increase the percentage by 1% and you have unlimited options and possibilities - guaranteed to have the perfect for all your clients!

Every salon owner has there own preference when it comes to spray tan solution, so for those spray tan therapists who are not satisfied with AG, I would highly recommend California Tan Gold 9% or California Tan Dark 12%
