hi i need some help ive got very dry legs to the point where they look scaly does anyone know any products on the cheap side that will help me

I use soap & glory shower creme or whatever it is in a tallish pump and it's a creamy colour.

Just use loads of that and exfoliation gloves and lather it up LOADS and scrub. works well for my legs and i have the scaly look problem

Palmers Cocoa Butter! Works a treat, or Body Shops Shea Butter lush.

Give your legs a mild exfoliation (no point putting cream on old dead skin cells) and then apply.

x

Cuccio body cream is FAB! I use it everyday. Sounds like your legs just need a bit of tlc.
Go and get you self some exfoliating gloves. Soak in a nice warm bath, add a bit of milk and honey (natural) Do some gentle exfoliation, you dont want to make it sore and cake on the cream once your dry. Body brushing is also very good for this xxx

I am not a skin professional but i personally use the exfoliating gloves in a nice warm bath and apply baby oil onto my skin when i get out the bath and while the skin is still wet....my skin stays soft and lovely all day.

Thalgo dry oil body spray is a fave of mine at the moment, you spritz it and it just glams up your legs while giving such a sheen of pure decidence:eek::lol:,and it is only a tenner, well thats cheap in my books but i am prepared to spend a fortune though!...Thalgo also do a "gommage",for the body that you can use on dry skin,oh so soft, but you really feel it exfoliate the skin, you feel really primed:green:

Otherwise exfoliating mitts,is an economical way to exfoliate, but i am in heaven with this thalgo product!

my daughter was having this problem, but its fixed now.

we mixed almond oil and caster sugar into a paste and use it as a scrub.
it keeps well in a jar.

very simple, very cheap and ultra effective.

someone said just use e45 cream has anyone tried this

I can't use E45, it makes me itch!
I have loads of my clients, who have this problem and other skin problems like eczema, using the wonderful CND soothing hydrating lotion. Was previously called Solar Butter.
They all swear by it and love the smell.

Completely agree with this!
Baby oil applied all over onto wet skin keeps you soft all day! It's a bit slippery to start with but it really works and not expensive to buy!

I 2nd that! Also it doubles as a moisturiser while exfoliating. You can also use the almond oil with ground coffee beans for extra scrub, rock salt, & you can add a pinch of ground cinnamon.

Bet she smells good enough to eat!

Coffee grinds, never heard of that one. I've been putting them in my vegie patch [great snail repellent].

Dry skin gets drier the more you exfoliate, include waxing & shaving as they also remove dry skin.

Avoid hot baths, very drying on already dry skin.
Exfoliate once a week to start with, moisturize as often as you can

I make cocoa butter, 30g cocoa butter, 20g shea butter, 20g coconut oil (the solid stuff) its fantastic, but now they itch, so I've made another batch with 12 drops roman chamomile EO, 12 drops lavender and 9 drops peppermint, its lovely even if I do say so myself lol ( I got the ingredients for the butter on eBay) x

tough to say really.

we get a jar and put in the caster sugar until it is aproximately the quantity we want. then pour the oil on and keep mixing until it forms a paste thats a workable consistency.

the sugar doesnt dissolve or anything, buy the oil seems to sort of suspend the granules.

i add a little drop of lavendar oil for fragrance sometimes.
