My Business landlord went into administration last week. The building where I rent my salon is in the administrative pot along with 30 other similar buildings in the country .. uncertain times!

My lease expires at the end of August 2011, and if the recession keeps going the way it is, it might be wise for me to close the salon and go mobile instead for the time being.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Do nothing for the time being. Wait until you hear from the administrators; although you might want to contact them to ask to be kept in the loop. You never know, you might get more favourable rent rates from the new owner.
Now's the time to ramp up your marketing and ensure that all your client records are up to date so that if you do want to go mobile you have a comprehensive client database to work from.
Good luck.

What a rotten position to be in. Whatever you decide, Nickie, good luck.
