Hi,

I am new to this sit and was looking for some advice, I was thinking about doing the essential nails Gel home learning course.

I quallifed with Creative just over a year ago and am now looking to start doing gel nails but don't have much time to attend a course so though home learning might be an easier option...is this a good idea or a complete waste of money and is the qualifiaction a recognised one??

Any help or advice would be appreciated! :)

hi- if you do a "Forum Search" on "Essential Nails"- it will keep you busy for a while!

no probs- good luck!

Hi there....and welcome to the site!!

As you have already done a Foundation Course with Creative, you wouldn't have to do a beginners course in Gel.
All you would have to do is a 1 day Conversion Course in whatever Gel system you choose.
You already know all about prep etc....so I do actualy think that the Essential Nails would be a bit expensive and a waste of time for you. IMHO.

Good to see another Scot here in the land of the geeks!

hi and welcome to the site xxx:hug: i would tend to agree with izzydoll the essential course would be a bit of a waste for you i started this course and quit because not many companies recognise it as a qualification as your already creative trained it might be worth looking at creative again! xxxx:hug:

I agree with the other geeks so far, Essential Nails Gel course would once again take you through all those foundation modules that you already have covered

If you call Creative or one of the other good training places (there are many different ones) and explain your current qualifications and what you want to do, they may have a one or two day course that would get you up to speed in gel.

The only difference would be if you qualified with creative in manicure and pedicure but not nail technology (you didn't say which course you took) then it may make a difference but all you can do is ask.
