Essential Nails Gel Nail Course

I am currently doing the essential nails Gel Nails Course, however they don't teach you to apply white gel and create a smile line, they just use clear gel on a natural tip? Majority of my clients prefer to have the pink and white gel applied, does anyone else have this problem?
