im trying to put my price list together for the beauty room im opening at a local hair salon. im going to be using eye taylor products to do facials. i was just wondering what facials people offer that use eve taylor? and what sort of prices people charge?

Thanks, Emma

Do Eve Taylor not have some sort of training or manual for this? In my experience, granted usually with top end products, the company has a training centre to explain the products & demonstrate their efficient use etc.

I would get in touch with the Eve Taylors Company and ask them if they have a recommened price's that you should be charging for facials using their products, I know you will have to take your area into consideration and I Know Durham it is a lovely place, but can be pretty expensive in some area's. Hope this is a help to you

Hi Martin, yes training is provided along with efficient use of their products demonstrated. I've used Decleor so let me explain whats different. Once the therapist themselves knows how to use each product to its best ability then the responsibility is on the therapist to create the facial specific to what the consultation results in. In other words the client isn't just put thrown into a category determined by a manual or pricelist and off the therapist goes to carry out that treatment. Instead, the client is treated for overall and specific areas of concern which are then combated by the specific/prescribed/appropriate product. This gives an entirely bespoke treatment. After all we are 'professionals' and so should have the wisdom and confidence to design the treatment specific to what we consider the concern. Hope this helps. - Sandra

I looooove Eve Taylor. I have 3 types of facial just as a sort of price/treatment guide but then tailor them to whatever the client is concerned about:

Eve Taylor Facial - £25
Includes thorough consulation to decide the best treatment for your skin - cleanse, tone, exfoliation, massage and masque. (60 minutes)
Eve Taylor Luxury Facial - £30
Includes consulation, cleanse, tone, exfoliation, massage, face eye and lip masque, steam and hand and arm massage. I will also use specially blended facial oils to target any problem areas.
Eve Taylor Anti-Ageing Facial - £30
Includes consulation, cleanse, tone, exfoliation, massage, face eye and lip masque, steam and hand/arm massage. A specially blended anti-ageing facial oil is also used along with a cold cryogenic algae masque.

Yes, that does help - I'd assumed they must have some sort of training in place. Decleor isn't so different; although there are facials for general skin types on many therapist's menus, the therapist is ultimately responsible for guiding the client to the facial appropriate to their skin type, and for adapting the products in the facial to best treat the presenting & underlying conditions. I would hope this would be the case regardless of the product range used.

Im a little confused with the comments you have made above. You seem to be implying that Eve Taylor is different to Decleor as the client isn't put into a category determined by the pricelist etc and then just given said treatment on list. Surely every therapist is capable of tailor making a facial to their clients needs regardless of brand used.

Every therapist should know how to tailor the treatment for the client, however with Eve Taylor they take in to account different analytical types, stomach, lung, hormonal, ellimination and liver each type manifests particular skin conditions..that what makes it special! :)

Hi Bombini,

Yes indeed you would. I was just outlining why it is that Eve Taylor don't use 'set' menu's (less robotic, more bespoke). - Sandra

Aren't most of the treatment menus there for the client to choose what they would like. It would be a boring old world if all treatment menus just said 'Really Nice Facial'.

A therapist is the one with the knowledge and experience to choose the correct products for the client no matter what the range is used. I certainly would dictate which products must be used on a client from my office when a therapist is there with the client, can see and assess the client and use her experience and judgement. This is not to say we don't have guideline and recommended products to use.

Thanks for the explanations :)

Decleor, like many other aromatherapy & phytotherapy brands, have been doing this for donkey's years - it's part of the back diagnostic massage and is also present in the correlation between skin conditions & facial reflexes.

There's nothing new under the sun as they say!!

I use eve taylor and because they have such a vast array of products I charge for time.

£24.50 for a 45 min
£29.50 for an hour
£34.50 for a 75 mins

more time more products used ie serums and ampules etc. Also with the 75 min one I offer Carltons CromaPeel which works well with eve taylor products.

Also where you are situated and your competition needs to be factored in.

Hope this helps
