I have decided to offer a top-up within 7 days, but just wanted to check that I would still get my customers to exfoliate before the top-up, or is this not necessary?

If they have looked after it well and it has faded evenly then you are fine to spray over it,
if it has faded patchy then they need to scrub it off, hth :hug:
